Home Course Equivalency

The following table displays equivalent courses across the four senior institutions of the USC system (Aiken, Beaufort, Columbia, and Upstate). Course equivalents for the regional campuses (Lancaster, Salkehatchie, Sumter, Union) are maintained in the Columbia catalog.

Select the campus where the course will be taken as well as the course information. The results will include equivalencies available.

This information is unofficial and provided as a convenience for current and prospective students, as well as academic advisors. Course equivalency information is subject to revision without notice and should not be considered a guarantee of transfer credit equivalencies.

Please Note:

  • Lab Science Courses: Students should consult with campus advisors about science lecture/laboratory equivalencies (ex. CHEM 111 or BIOL 101 / BIOL 101L).
  • Carolina Core Equivalencies: For students who are planning to change campuses from USC Aiken, Beaufort, or Upstate to USC Columbia or a Regional Campus, please consult with your Columbia or Regional campus advisor regarding Carolina Core equivalencies (ex. INF Information Literacy).
  • Direct Equivalencies Only: This table only displays direct equivalencies (ex. ENGL A101 equates to ENGLB 101). If a course you are are seeking does not appear in the table, please consult with an advisor at the campus to which you plan to change.
